Welcome to Gratitude Psychological Services (GPS)

Greetings. I am a Clinical Psychologist, licensed in New York, New Jersey and Washington D.C.  I have been working with adults, adolescents, as well as children and their parents for over 15 years. Whether you are dealing with adjustment issues, conflicts in work, family or intimate relationships, struggles associated with anxiety, depression, panic disorder, or ADHD, or feeling like you need clarity and direction from the overwhelm of a life that feels not quite your own or too much to handle, I think I can help you (or you and your child) through psychotherapy.

Seeking therapy is a considerable step toward self-care and creating a life that is more satisfying and supportive of who you truly are. Have you asked yourself why you repeat old behavioral patterns? Have you wondered how to improve relationships with others or seek to be more effective in meeting your family and career goals? Together, we can identify your triggers and develop strategies to overcome them. Don’t let past experiences hold you back from living your best life. Therapy benefits include improved mental health, better relationships, and increased self-esteem.

In my work with adults or children and their parents, I help you to identify emotional response patterns, capitalize on strengths, and develop strategies to help you to improve your emotional and behavioral functioning. In the context of our therapeutic relationship, we can reduce your stress reactions, identify tools to build stronger connections with others and increase your self-awareness. Through collaborative discussion, exploration, and goal-setting, you can learn to change how you think and feel about yourself and the world.

Therapy does not need to be a long-term process, and targeted goals can quickly improve self-and life satisfaction. I utilize a psycho-dynamically informed approach toward understanding your problems paired with cognitive-behavioral interventions to develop strategies to meet your individual treatment goals. My passion is helping those in therapy challenge old thoughts as they develop greater awareness of their behavioral choices to enact change.

I was educated at Tufts University, Columbia University and The City University of New York. I was trained at New York Hospital - Cornell University and Memorial Sloan Kettering, and have worked at university counseling centers and a number of major hospitals in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.  I am glad to bring my extensive training and experience to our work together.
